Peter Horty, a graduate of LaSalle University, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.  He is a Certified Public Accountant not in public practice. 

Peter is a member of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council, the Delaware Estate Planning Council, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants. He currently serves on the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Delaware Bankers Association. 

Peter has served on numerous charitable boards and is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Wilmington, a former director of AITCO (Association of Independent Trust Companies) and past chairman of the Delaware Bankers Association.  Peter has been very active in various committees of the Delaware and Pennsylvania state CPA societies.

In his capacity as president of Commonwealth Trust, Peter lectures extensively on the Delaware Dynasty Trust, the Delaware Asset Protection Trusts and Estate and Succession Planning.
